Proces X - duże obciążenia CPU
Slackware 13.37 + KDE 4.5.5
CPU i RAM są dosyć mocne: Intel C2D 3GHz E8400 + 2GB RAM
Jak sprawdzić co dokładnie obciążania mi jeden z rdzeni bardzo często na ok. 40-50% ?
Nie wiem co jest tego powodem.
Czasami system reaguje jakbym miał 128MB RAMU a czasami działa normalnie.
Gdy chcę wywołać krunnera albo kliknąc w jakiś plazmoid na pulpicie to czasem jest reakcja od razu a czasami czeka się np. 20 sekund.
Mam na pulpicie plazmoid z informacją odnośnie zajętości i wolnego miejsca na poszczególnych partycjach oraz info z pogodą.
Gdy klikam w któryś z nich żeby np. zmienić konfigurację to jest właśnie tak jak powyżej opisałem.
Nic więcej na pulpicie z plazmoidów nie mam i nie wydaje mi się, żeby liczba 2 była jakąś dużą ilością
Jakieś sugestie?

Dzięki dienet... znam te polecenia ale nic z nich nie potrafię wyczytać.
Polecenie top wykazuje tylko sam proces X bez rozróżnienia w szczegółach co tam jest w środku więc nic nie odczytam ciekawego.
Natomiast polecenie:
ps auxf
Może podpowiesz co jest przyczyną wysokiego obciążenia CPU ?
Na potrzeby powyższego wyniku polecenia ps auxf wyłączyłem wszystko co mogło działać w tle: żadnych torrentów, przeglądarek www czy komunikatorów....słowem nic nie działało a i tak proces o nazwie X zabierał ok. 16% CPU ... coś jest nie tak ale nie wiem co.
PS. Co zrobić, żeby dany tekst był w formie: zwiń / rozwiń zamiast zabierać kilka stron w postaci już rozwiniętej?

U mnie proces "X" zajmuje w czasie normalnej, niezbyt intensywnej pracy, 20-35 procent. Nie przeszkadza to w płynnym działaniu systemu. Pamiętam, że nie byłem zadowolony z działania kde z domyślnym menadżerem okien. Po zmianie na compiza jest lepiej.

Czy są jakieś momenty, że trzeba go wyłączać gdy np. chcesz obejrzeć film lub zagrać w jakąś grę przez Wine (jeśli grasz) ?

Nic z tych rzeczy - żadnego problemu z filmami, a oglądam ich sporo. W gry gram rzadko, ale cywilizacja IV działała bez problemu. Compiz w wersji ze slackware-13.37.addos pisze:A jak się sprawuje Compiz? W której wersji?
Czy są jakieś momenty, że trzeba go wyłączać gdy np. chcesz obejrzeć film lub zagrać w jakąś grę przez Wine (jeśli grasz) ?

Jeden problem jaki miałem to wywalanie się compiza na starcie kde - coś się gryzło chyba pomiędzy ustawieniami kde i ccsm, ale nie pamiętam co. Teraz działa ok.

Przypomniałem sobie że oprócz zmiany menadżera okien dla poprawy szybkości działania wyłączyłem jeszcze indeksowanie plików - to jest jakaś masakra - strasznie spowalniało system momentami.

Usunąłem wszystkie plazmoidy z pulpitu oraz z paska a następnie po kolei testowałem i sprawdzałem, czy któryś z nich nie jest za to odpowiedzialny.
Poza jednym (analiza ruchu LAN) to wszystko jest w miarę OK, tzn. najczęściej ok. 4-5% CPU dla procesu X.
Natomiast jeżeli zacznę szybko ruszać myszką np. przez 30 sekund będę kreślił kółka albo literki "Z" to sytuacja wygląda tak:
Chodzi mi o liczby a nie o wykres.
Poza jednym (analiza ruchu LAN) to wszystko jest w miarę OK, tzn. najczęściej ok. 4-5% CPU dla procesu X.
Natomiast jeżeli zacznę szybko ruszać myszką np. przez 30 sekund będę kreślił kółka albo literki "Z" to sytuacja wygląda tak:
- jeżeli kursor myszki lata po samym oknie Aktywność systemu (Ctrl+Esc) to max 8% CPU dla procesu X
jeżeli będę ruszał nim po całym ekranie czyli poza oraz po oknie Aktywność systemu (Ctrl+Esc) to max do 35% CPU dla procesu X
- Opera, KTorrent, Skype oraz są włączone te plazmoidy na pulpicie i pasku.
Chodzi mi o liczby a nie o wykres.

addos:Może nie jest to odpowiedź bezpośrednio na temat, ale OpenBox (i ogólnie wszystkie pochodne BlackBox'a) zajmóją mniej zasobów niż KDE... (do tego polecam emulator terminala yaqake (chyba tak się pisze))

Domyślam się, że chodziło o to co podałem czyli plik /var/log/Xorg.0.log ?jest coś ciekawego w X.org.log ?

@Addos:OpenBox i KDE prezentują inne podejścia do sprawy. Sugerowałbym Ci instalację OpenBox'a obok KDE (nie powinno byc kolizji) i wypróbowanie. OpenBox jest lżejszy, ale nie posiada np. ikonek, pasków zadań itp. (dla mnie jest to wielką zaletą), jednak nie każdemu odpowiada. Tak naprawdę OpenBox to jedynie manager okien, ale w roli środowiska graficznego sprawuje się dobrze. Do tego można dodac inne elementy, np. coś do wyświetlania tapety i masz samodzielnie złożone z "klocków" środowisko graficzne, zgodne z Twoimi preferencjami, szczególnie polecam do tego dodac emulator terminana yaquake, nie zaśmieca pasków (których i tak nie ma w OpenBox'ie , musisz dodac coś do ich wyświetlania, jeśli chcesz je miec ), po prostu wsuwa się i wysuwa z góry ekranu, po naciśnięciu F12 (tutaj mogą byc kolizje), polecam dodac do "autostartu". Mam nadzieje, że pomogłem.

Proszę , jako alternatywy dla OpenBox'a, możesz wykorzystac inne pochodne OpenBox'a, jednak z nim miałem najwięcej doczynienia.

Tak na marginesie nie zwalałbym winy na samo KDE. Mam u siebie Slaka, 13.37 - system 32 bitowy - który ze wszystkimi efektami (za wyjątkiem rozmywania) KDE działa płynnie, z pełną prędkością na zintegrowanej grafice w czipset 760G - HD3000 to nie potwór, a radzi sobie bez najmniejszych problemów z tymi efektami środowiska graficznego (jedynie rozmycie okien potrafi go zwolnić. Średnia prędkość wg. miernika FPS w KDE z bajerami u mnie to 100FPS, jak włączę tylko rozmycie okien - leci do 20 i całość chodzi wolno), wystarczy tylko ten jeden efekt odznaczyć i tyle.joachim726 pisze:addos:Może nie jest to odpowiedź bezpośrednio na temat, ale OpenBox (i ogólnie wszystkie pochodne BlackBox'a) zajmóją mniej zasobów niż KDE... Kolega ma 9600GT, a więc kilkunastokrotnie mocniejszą kartę niż moja integra, na tym każde środowisko powinno śmigać
